Acknowledging Suffering
We are all experiencing, both individually and collectively, an enormous hardship facing these uncertain and disruptive times. And yet, it is known since the beginning of times that everything in life changes, everything ends.
Nevertheless, enduring the suffering emerging from disruption, from change, is a difficult thing. From our own experience, the only way to do it is by embracing it.
Self-Compassion
And the first step is… loving oneself! Embracing the wholeness of the fragile, imperfect, vulnerable and yet resilient and brilliant self we all – each and every one of us – carries.
This experiential program gives you the tools to hold yourself kindly, first by acknowledging that you suffer, then by realizing that you are not alone in this journey (in fact, suffering is the link that permeates all humanity); and overall by actively caring and supporting yourself in this moment of distress.
It provides a powerful toolbox for emotional resilience in this moment of crisis and disruption that can help us manage challenging situations (isolation through self-quarantine, illness, economic hardship, instability, uncertainty) with greater moment-to-moment acceptance and respond to difficult feelings with self-kindness.
